The California State University system is proposing to establish a new Center for Aquaculture based at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, designed to train a technical workforce to support California’s emerging aquaculture industry. This project will host a two-day workshop at MLML in January 2016 to develop a strategic plan for aquaculture research and education, with participants from 23 campuses, regulator agencies and industry. The resulting draft strategic plan will be shared in a white paper for further refinement through 2016.
