Aaron Angel graduated with a Master of Science degree in Biology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2021. Her research in environmental toxicology focused on the toxicity of oil from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon spill in a terrestrial saltmarsh species, the Seaside Sparrow population along the coast of Louisiana.
Aaron has worked and volunteered with conservation-focused non-profit organizations, such as the National Audubon Society and Planet Rehab, and hopes to pursue a career in environmental conservation and management that incorporates robust science and ensures continual ecosystem health.
Aaron will now be working as a California Sea Grant State Fellow with the Planning and Performance Division of the Delta Stewardship Council on projects relating to the Delta Plan, including adaptation strategy for the Delta and Suisun Marsh to progress climate resilience and conservation.
