Carly Shabo

Carly Shabo, 2020 state fellow
University Affiliation: Scripps Institution of Oceanography at University of California, San Diego

Carly Shabo graduated with a Master of Advanced Studies degree in marine biodiversity and conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 2019. During this time, Shabo created a management plan for a newly designated network of nearshore marine protected areas for the island of Curacao.

Shabo will be helping develop and implement a community prototype project with the goal of helping West Coast coastal communities achieve their resilience vision, as well as exploring the intersection of nature-based infrastructure and the adaptation of coastal roads.
