Holly Wyer earned her master's in environmental science and management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara in 2011. 

As a state fellow with the Califronia State Lands Commission, Wyer researched and synthesized information on emerging issues including: marine renewable energy environmental impacts and planning, marine debris and tsunami debris, and sea level rise adaptation.
