Kelly Santos will graduate with a master's degree in interdisciplinary marine and estuarine science from San Francisco State University's Estuary & Ocean Science Center in Spring 2020. Her research focuses on factors affecting endangered California seablite (Suaeda californica) establishment and use as high tide refuge in San Francisco Bay salt marshes. Santos also worked as a graduate student intern in the Resilient Landscapes Program at the San Francisco Estuary Institute.

During her fellowship, Santos will assist with the development of a Bay Area Wetlands Regional Monitoring Program (WRMP).
