Madelyn Roycroft
Program Analyst - Science Integration Team
Madelyn Roycroft is a Program Analyst for California Sea Grant’s Science Integration Team based out of Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Madelyn has a broad background in marine science, habitat restoration, fisheries management, seaweed and shellfish aquaculture, and coastal policy and management. Madelyn has experience working with local, state, national, and international partners to identify new opportunities for collaborative environmental and community partnerships. She is also experienced with administering and managing research proposal processes and competitive coastal and marine science programs.
 
Madelyn was previously a California Sea Grant State Fellow with the Port of San Diego where she assisted with a variety of current and upcoming pilot projects to support the growth of shellfish and seaweed aquaculture in San Diego Bay and promote emerging blue technology businesses. Madelyn earned a M.S. in Biological Sciences from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a B.S. in Environmental Science, with a minor in Art History and Marine Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. In her free time, Madelyn enjoys brewing kombucha, baking sourdough and connecting with her local San Diego community.
