Maggie Jenkins graduated with a master's degree in biology from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo in 2018. While there, her research focused on the ways in which sea otter predation of crabs can influence the abundance of an invasive fouling bryozoan.

Jenkins will be focusing on coastal habitat restoration projects through work supporting the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority program and the Southern California Wetlands Recovery Project.
