Sara Worden earned a Master of Marine Science from Moss Landing Marine Laboratories in 2015. Her thesis examined the effects of variation in small-scale geological features on rocky intertidal species interactions.
As State Fellow with the Ocean Protection Council, Worden aided the Council with synthesizing and finalizing a long-term marine protected area (MPA) management program for the state, and helped identify the long-term goals of the MPA network.
