Troy is a research assistant working with Mariska Obedzinski at the California Sea Grant Russian River Salmon and Steelhead Monitoring Program in Windsor, California.

From hiking and snorkeling to downstream migrant trapping and electrofishing, Troy is out in the creeks throughout the year conducting biological surveys for salmon and steelhead at every life stage. Troy earned a B.S. in Environmental Science at Massey University, New Zealand. Troy first became involved with California Sea Grant as an AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Program member in 2015.
